Education and School ChoiceThe Cumberland County Libertarian Party supports the right of parents to choose where and how their children receive an education.
Government has failed miserably at educating our children over the last 100 years, and yet the U.S. continues to spend more money on education than any other country as test scores plummet.
Parents should have the right to choose whether their children attend a public or private school, or are homeschooled. Parents should be able to use their tax dollars to send their children to the school of their choice. This includes the School Tax Credit proposed by the Libertarian Party of North Carolina.

I am responding to the Observer editorial, "Cleanup: Corruption needs bipartisan effort to cure it" on January 26, which addressed some of the corruption charges facing prominent N.C. Democrats, and the need for both parties to do something about it. |
