Governor Purdue made a plea for protectionism through state-contracts in an op-ed that ran in today's Fayetteville Observer. As usual, she doesn't understand basic economics. So, the likelihood of getting elected by write-in vote is probably slim. However, in Robeson County and in the town of Orrum, write-in candidates did in fact win election to office. In Robeson County a write-in candidate was selected to be director of the county's Board of Election, and in Orrum two write-in candidates won election to the town's council.
