In Robeson County a write-in candidate was selected to be director of the county's Board of Election, and in Orrum two write-in candidates won election to the town's council.
This goes to show that no race is too small for Libertarians. Write-in candidates and declared candidates for public office at the local level can use such elections to get a foot in the door. Director of a county's Board of Elections, or members of a town council, are positions that allow a candidate to get local government experience, and can help win election for higher office at a later date. I encourage all Cumberland County Libertarians to consider running for small elections.
